I believe anxiety was my worst enemy when trying to keep away from "junk" food. When I hold a pair of knitting needles or give a go on my knitting looms and start following instructions on how to knit an accessory or a garment my stress totally disappears and I control my anxiety. Then, I can choose healthier options food :)
Well, I think everybody has trouble in scheduling a "knitting time" on a busy day, but in my experience, if I leave simple projects on the needles or on the looms around the house, projects in which you don't need to focus too much, it is easy to grab them for two minutes and make a row when I am having a cup of tea or opening my mails or when I am waiting for the food to bake ... But do not knit when your friends come by to see you!
